North Dakota/South Dakota Native American Business Enterprise Center (NABEC)
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) provides funding for a network of minority business centers located throughout the Nation. The Centers provide minority entrepreneurs with one-on-one assistance in writing business plans, marketing, management and technical assistance and financial planning to assure adequate financing for business ventures. The Centers are staffed by business specialists who have the knowledge and practical experience needed to run successful and profitable businesses. Business referral services are provided free of charge. However, the network generally charges nominal fees for specific management and technical assistance services.
The North Dakota/South Dakota NABEC has entered into a cooperative agreement with the MBDA to further the development and stability of Native American business. This program has been operated by United Tribes Technical College since 1980.

The Office of Intergovernmental Assistance in the North Dakota Division of Community Services serves as a State Data Center that provides education and access to Census Bureau data and products as well as other statistical resources to millions of data users at the local level. Souris Basin Certified Development Corporation
The Souris Basin Certified Development Company is a private, non-profit corporation certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to administer the SBA 504 program throughout the state of North Dakota with concentration in Central and North-Central North Dakota.
Souris Basin Planning Council
The Souris Basin Planning Council provides a wide variety of technical assistance, project planning, development resources and programs to counties and communities throughout ND Planning Region 2, including economic development, community development, business development, infrastructure development activities, and land use planning. The Council also has low-interest financing and grant programs available for new and small businesses.
