Poultry Export Verification Program

Total votes: 12

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) Poultry Export Verification (PEV) Program assists the U.S. Poultry Industry in marketing poultry primarily to the European Union but it may also be used for exports to other countries. The PEV Program requirements apply to eligible U.S. suppliers of poultry products that supply poultry to processing establishments for export to the European Union. Suppliers who wish to meet the specified product requirements for the European Union under the PEV Program must meet these requirements through an approved USDA Quality System Assessment (QSA) Program. Trained Grading Division auditors review and approve companies as eligible suppliers of poultry products under the PEV Program. Approved suppliers are added to the Official Listing of PEV Suppliers. The Program provides companies that supply poultry products the opportunity to assure customers of their ability to provide consistent quality products.

Eligibility:

All eligible U.S. suppliers of poultry products for export primarily to the European Union but also for suppliers of poultry exports to other countries.
