Export Express Loan

The Export Express program is designed to help SBA meet the export financing needs of small businesses. It is subject to the same loan processing, making, closing, servicing, and liquidation requirements as well as the same maturity terms, interest rates, and applicable fees as for other SBA Express loans except in some cases. The total Export Express loan cannot exceed $500,000. SBA guarantees 90 percent for loans of $350,000 and under and 75 percent for loans greater than $350,000 up to the maximum of $500,000. SBA allows participating lenders to make their own credit decisions. SBA provides a quick processing time, less than 36 hours. You must have a business operating history of at least one year ヨ not necessarily in exporting. The SBA may waive this requirement if you have sufficient export trade experience or other managerial experience. The foreign buyer must be a creditworthy entity and the methods of payment must be acceptable to the SBA and the export lender. The application process is the same for the SBAExpress, except the applicant must demonstrate that loan proceeds will enable it to enter a new export market or expand an existing export market.
