The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the public health agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged. FSIS maintains numerous resources available to help businesses join FSIS in partnership to protect the health of the American public, maintain federally defined regulations for their establishments, and grow their businesses through successfull trade both domestically and abroad.
