“The Art and Science of Effective Collaborations” Presented By: Jeffrey Deckman (Capability Accelerators) Today’s world is so complex and resources are so limited that the success of almost all pre and post funded entrepreneurs, small businesses and not-for profits are heavily dependent upon their ability to build highly effective collaborations. When designed and implemented properly collaborations allow any David to stand up to Goliath sized challenges and win. Collaborations are one of the most powerful and effective weapons in the modern executive’s arsenal. However, they are also one of the most misunderstood, complex, volatile and therefore potentially dangerous tools in the arsenal as well. On March 12th join us for an in-depth discussion that will reveal and explain the secrets and the hidden dynamics necessary to understand and account for before you commit to starting or joining ‘collaboration’. Attendees will be taken through a step by step process that will help them to design the structure, select and vet partners, define roles, responsibilities and rules of engagement as well as compensation and exit strategies. Participants will receive a Collaboration Guide Book which they can use to design their next collaboration Jeffrey Deckman is the founder of Capability Accelerators. He specializes in turning human capital into financial capital by developing leaders, management teams and resilient cultures. He is a serial entrepreneur in the IT sector, was a founding partner in a RI based think tank and is a veteran of designing and operating many complex collaborations involving business, higher education, government and political organizations. He is the creator of the “SEALL Process for Designing and Implementing Effective Collaborations.” ***
