The Small Business Ombudsman program is comprised of a website and a call center that provides information and counseling to assist small businesses with their day-to-day interactions with the U.S. Census Bureau. Businesses can contact the Small Business Ombudsman for help with completing a survey or using electronic reporting tools, finding and using business data, and learning how to do business with the Census Bureau and other agencies of the US government. The objective of the program is to reduce small business reporting burden, facilitate reporting, improve data access, and recognize changes in small businesses that may impact their ability to report.
